The cottage is a great base for a relaxing holiday or for exploring the delights and historic charm of Derbyshire and the Peak District. Matlock Bath with Gulliver’s Kingdom and the Heights of Abraham Cable Cars, Matlock, Carsington Water and the Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage site are all within 20 minutes drive. The grandeur of Chatsworth House and Gardens, Bakewell, Dovedale, Ashbourne and the city of Derby are all within 40 minutes drive. There are some fine walks from the door, and the High Peak Trail and the Tissington Trail, popular routes for walkers and cyclists alike, are both close by.
